A short moment captured on a sensor. I am living in Ishinomaki, Miyagi prefecture Japan for 5 months, getting to know it’s people and places and capturing sound and light along the journey.
After filming in light rain and grey skies in the afternoon, I was about to pack up when the sun unexpectedly forged it’s way out for a beautiful late afternoon show.
With the exposure set for the bright sunlight and with the camera within the long the grasses, i captured this short moment without much thought, manually focusing to reveal the depth within the grass with the sun as the backdrop.
I hope you enjoy the feeling as much as I enjoyed the afternoon shoot.
